San Antonio

Matt had to travel to Houston for work this summer so the girls and I decided to join him.  He goes to Johnson Space Center often for work but this is the first time we have gone with him.  We drove and so we decided to add on San Antonio to each end of the trip because Matt and I have always wanted the girls to see it.  We spent our first anniversary in San Antonio and loved it.  So we drove to San Antonio and stayed 1 day to explore the river walk and historic districts.  We all enjoyed the good food, river walk, Alamo, and various other sites...however, there was no denying that the humidity was a little overwhelming for us desert dwellers.  It was 95 degrees outside with 80-90 % humidity on most days.  Let's just say that we were moist while we were there.  We went on to Houston for the week and then returned through San Antonio for another 1 day stay so that we could go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.  The girls had never really been to a roller coaster theme park so I wanted to take them.  We had a blast.  We rode every single ride in the park and it was awesome.  Again, pretty hot and sticky but we managed to not die.
