There have been many things happening lately, I just seem to forget to write about them here....if my intention is to have this space be a place where I can be reminded (literally) of all the goings on in our family, I suppose I need to actually remember to keep track of it all. I will blame the crazy spring weather on my lack of motivation to write. We have had gorgeous sunny weather with very little dust blowing winds! This week is Spring Break and we have enjoyed every single day of it so far. Most days we spend relaxing and hanging around the house playing games or reading. Hannah is kind enough to join me on my run each morning so that has been really nice. We did decide to actually leave the house today and run some errands. We had lunch and perused the local used book store...we promptly came home and felt like we needed a nap...after which, the girls and Matt decided to start a game of Monopoly. Oh the thrilling adventures we have. I am so thankful for all the relaxing down time so that we can be refreshed for the final push to the end of the year. So here is a recap of the last month in the Kenney family....
We started the month with Rachel being inducted in to the National Honor Society at school. Very proud, needless to say. Next up was Hannah's performance of Beauty and the Beast. This is the first of (hopefully) many high school theater productions she will be in and it was fantastic. All of the kids worked so hard and the show turned out great. Hannah was a milkmaid, a dish, a napkin and a gargoyle. Seeing a whole line of girls dressed as dishes doing a chorus line kick was particularly impressive. It is so fun to see her up there singing and doing the thing she loves most. Next, it was Emma's turn to perform. She was Mother Duck in the Ugly Duckling and also did an awesome job. Other than being upstaged by the super cute baby ducklings (who were smiling and waving at the audience), she was pretty happy with the whole show. Finally, we came out to support another musical performance by Hannah. She decided to sing and perform a skit for her school spring showcase. She sang a song from the movie Tangled. Again, so much fun to finally see her performing and singing for others to enjoy. And now we will squeeze the rest of the relaxing out of Spring Break!
