Father's Day should be a day that is all about Matt.  A day when he gets to make all the choices, and do all of the things that he wants.  After all, when you live with 4 very opinionated women, you deserve at least 1 day every year to be the man.  So since Matt was making all the choices, he started the day by forcing asking the girls to come with us on our usual Sunday walk.  They were troopers considering how early we had to leave to beat the heat.  Next, was a day of swimming and hanging out.  We seem to do a lot of that around here...but when it is over 100 degrees outside it is hard to want to do much else except be in the cool pool.  Again, since it was Matt's choice, we were lucky to have lots of Bon Jovi, U2 and Bruce Springsteen coming through the speakers ALL day.  The girls were again, very supportive of his lame really cool 90's music.  For dinner Matt requested Pecan crusted Red Trout with lemon sauce.  We also had grilled corn on the cob because that is Matt's favorite.  Rachel made some freshly squeezed lemonade for him and Emma made some mango strawberry Popsicles for dessert.  The rest of the evening will be spent watching the NBA playoffs.  Hopefully a good day for the best dad around.  Thanks for being such a wonderful, loving, and supportive Dad to our girls, Matt.  They are so lucky to have you.
