Graduation Day

This was Hannah's last year at the Kenney Academy. :(  Even though I am feeling a little boo hoo sad about not having her adorable face around all day, we managed to pull it together long enough to give her a proper send off.  The 2nd annual graduation ceremony took place with much pomp and circumstance....We began with  Matt's commencement speech which had managed to include (and promptly mock) every graduation cliche filled speech in history.  After the laughs, we presented Hannah with her new Centennial High School t-shirt.  Hannah surprised us all by writing a Valedictorian speech for the occasion.  She gave a heart-felt (truly, it was really heart felt) speech thanking her teachers for their love and support.  After many tears from both graduate and proud Mom, we dug in to a yummy dinner of homemade pizza with smoked Gouda.  After dinner, we decided we should celebrate even further by going to Scoopy's for custard.  I am so proud of Hannah and I have no doubt that she will go on to do very well in High school.  She has grown in so many ways over the last 3 years and I  have enjoyed them all more than I can say......Hannah is smart, funny, witty, loving, kind, calm, flexible, fair, and about a thousand other mushy gushy adjectives.  I love that kid and am going to miss her so very much next year. I feel so grateful to have been a part of her education and daily life for the last 3 years and will treasure the memories we have made.
