Emma and I headed to El Paso for our flight early Saturday morning. Getting up at 3:30 am made for a very sleepy start, but we were both filled with anticipation, which kept us in good spirits for most of the travel day. All went smoothly and we arrived in DC in time to have a quick dinner and take a nap! We were able to meet our hosts from Epicurious, who greeted us with a welcome bag of goodies. Epicurious treated us like royalty while we were in DC and we are so appreciative of everything they did to make our trip fantastic. We stayed at the Westin in Georgetown. Emma commented several times on how "heavenly" the Westin beds were!! On Sunday morning, Emma and I went for a run along the C & O canal. So beautiful and so fun to share it with Emma. After Breakfast is was off to the Smithsonian for the day.....
