Pumpkin Carving

We spent today carving pumpkins for Halloween and putting the last minute touches on Halloween costumes.  At one point Matt asked what he should carve on the last pumpkin for the front porch.  I said he should put "welcome".  Hannah sweetly says "Mom, please don't go all Pottery Barn on us".  Oh well, the kid knows how to keep it real, I suppose.  We are all excited for trick or treating tomorrow.  Halloween on a school day is always hard but somehow we should manage to collect our share of candy. I am going to enjoy it while I can, considering our trick or treating days are numbered with Rachel going in to high school next year.
