It's all about the Chile.....

I love this time of year in New Mexico. It is chile harvesting season and you can smell it roasting to perfection all over town. We decided to head up to the world famous Hatch Chile Festival this weekend and check things out. Afterwards, and in keeping with the green chile theme, we ventured up to San Antonio NM to try the famous green chile cheeseburgers at Manny's Buckhorn saloon. They recently won a throw down with Bobby Flay episode so we were excited to try them. Unfortunately, I did not call ahead and we arrived to discover that they were closed. Oh well, we drove in to Socorro and had yummy green chile at another local restaurant. We finished the day watching NMSU play volleyball against the Italian National women's team. I stayed home but Matt and the girl's went to cheer on the Aggies and had lots of fun.
