Emma turns 14!

Emma wanted to celebrate her birthday with key lime pie and orange sherbet this year...interesting choice but we indulged Emma's often eccentric personality on this one. Dinner requests were for Chicken Cheddar Chowder and white tortillas.  Yes, the request for specifically white tortillas is a must because we usually have the much grosser whole wheat kind and Emma is emphatic that they be WHITE on her birthday. Favorite gifts included a Dr. Seuss book from Dad.  Matt has been reading Dr. Seuss books to Emma since she was little and it is one of her favorite things so it was especially sweet this year.  

I cannot tell you how much I love this sweet spunky girl.  She has been making us laugh out loud since she got here and I am thankful everyday for her exuberant personality.  Our house is noticeably quieter without her and when that happens we all realize how much light and energy she brings to our family.  She is loving and loyal and she gives the best arm rubs after a long day of cheffing for me.  She is silly and kind and quite a deep thinker on a lot of topics.  Happy Birthday sweet Emma.
