Deck the Halls!

We got the halls decked a week later than usual this year because we stayed a day later in Poway for Grandma's birthday.  Matt and Hannah hung the outdoor lights and we all decorated the inside. Christmas music was on repeat, fire was going, and soup was on the stove.  Afterwords we watched Elf which really got the season started.  A week later we went to the annual Luminarias at NMSU. We had not been in many years.  Once there, we realized why we stopped going.  While the actual luminarias are beautiful, the throngs of people fighting over free hot cocoa and cookies and the lines and lines of people waiting for the horse drawn carriages were not so beautiful.  We decided to scrap it and head across the street to Milagros for cocoa and dessert.  Much quieter and a lot cozier!
