Hanging out with the Berry Family

The day after Christmas we went to Alamogordo to spend some time with the Berry Family.  We started the day trying to hike with Scottie and Michelle...however, the area had received so much snow that the trail was a little too slippery for Michelle and me so we stayed in the car to chat while Scott and Matt made it to the bottom.  We missed a great view of the icy stream but luckily Matt thought to snap a few photos so we could see it.  After the hike we came back to Grandma and Grandpa Berrys to have lunch and play games.  Cody and Kazuyo were home from Japan so it was a whole family affair. Kazuyo is a gifted pianist so she indulged us in an accompanied round of Christmas carols!  We also squeezed in some more time with Cody and Kazuyo a few days later.  They came down to shop in Mesilla and have dinner at La Posta with us.  It was so nice to spend time with my family and we are so grateful to have Cody home from Japan for a few weeks.
