The Halls have been DECKED!

And just like that, the holiday season is not only upon us but in full swing.  We raced home (well, actually it is 10 very long and boring hours in the car) from San Diego on Saturday so that we could kick off the season properly.  Did I mention that we officially started  listening to Christmas songs on the trip too.... nothing like 10 hours of Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas to get you in the mood for the holiday. ; )Once home, we began by sprucing things up around the house...Emma was more than happy to rake all of our leaves for us, which was nice.  We made our way through all of the trip unpacking and 57 thousand loads of laundry.  We then set about decorating the house inside and out.  We finished the day with a viewing of Elf.  Here we go with  another holiday season.  Let's hope that the month somehow magically has 10 more days in it so I can get everything done that needs doing!
