Mesa Verde

Our first leg of the trip took us to Cortez and Mesa Verde National Park. I lived in Cortez as a kid so we got to go by my old school and were even able to see the first house that My Dad built for us.  It was really fun to stroll down memory lane with the girls.  We also went to Mesa Verde to check out the cliff dwellings.   I spent many 3rd and 4th grade field trips here so that was cool to see as an adult.  We had an awesome tour guide and all learned a lot.
