you are never too old to act dumb......

Yesterday was Matt's birthday. He turned 38 years old and we celebrated all day. He and I enjoyed a nice long walk together while the girls prepared breakfast for him....we then spent the day relaxing by the pool. I use the term relaxing loosely because Matt has some interesting ideas about what relaxing means. In a quest to outdo the girls in unique made up pool games (last summer it was bouncy ball rodeo in which one had to balance precariously on a giant beach ball and see who could stay on the longest while everyone else made huge waves in the pool) this summer he came up with the idea of seeing who could jump from the side of the pool into the new raft we got from the farthest point. OK, while not the most original pool game, it proved to be hilarious to watch. Needless to say, Matt won and the bottom of the boat fell out. It was quite comical to watch him launch himself into the boat and break right through. We ended the day with a nice dinner out and a new
U2 CD from the girls so they could hear Matt sing his heart out to his favorite band. Also, quite comical to watch.....We love you sweetie. You are a fantastic person and we are so lucky to share our lives with you. I hope you had a great day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
